It's Saturday 29th July 2017 and in true British fashion, the weather is a bit dull and it's threatening rain. That's okay, though, because it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day and quite frankly, this venue is amazing inside and out.
Grittleton House is a huge, grand building with the most amazing architecture and decor. I arrived bright and early to ensure I could find my way around easily enough and found everything already decorated. The colour scheme of red really complimented the building's decor fantastically.
I carried out the bridal preparations photographs upstairs and then popped downstairs when the groom and his groomsmen arrived. The suits were from Slaters. As family and friends turned up, I also captured a few moments of them waiting before Tara made her way down the staircase with her bridal party and father and then down the aisle to David. Tara's dress was from Elderberry Brides and flowers from The Brides Bouquet.
After a beautiful ceremony whereby the rings were flown down the aisle by a bird of prey (Birds For All Occasions), the newlyweds lead their guests to the gardens to see all of the birds of prey and so we could capture some group portraits. Unfortunately the threat of rain held us up slightly with group shots and we were then ushered inside for the wedding breakfast before the rain became too heavy.
Tables were laid perfectly and the the decor was just perfect. Centre pieces were provided by Events For U. There was so much attention to detail. Speeches were given by the Father of the Bride, the Best Man and Groom, and gifts were presented (some of which were hilarious - kitchen towel!?).
After the wedding breakfast, we ventured outside very briefly but had to come back inside due to the rain. As mentioned previously, this venue is amazing inside as well as out, so we were able to capture some wonderful indoor portraits.
The first dance, father-and-daughter dance and cake cutting followed and the music played until the end of the evening. DJ this evening was Sunset Discos. The amazing cake was created by Cakes For All Occasions. Chips and bacon sandwiches were served for evening guests and then I manned a studio style photo booth for a couple of hours, which was great fun!
Mr & Mrs Andrews, thank you for asking me to document your day. I wish you both all the best in your married life ahead.
