My first wedding of 2017 and what a fantastic one it was! I arrived at the Best Western Frensham Pond Hotel bright and early. The sun was shining (even though it was a little bit nippy) and there was an awesome car outside the main entrance which had been decorated for the wedding!
I was covering both groom and bride preparations prior to the ceremony, which was really good fun! The hotel layout meant it was very easy to get around and the internal decor was beautiful. Perfect for when we had a short rain shower later in the day!
Once the couple had tied the knot, we took some large group shots on the steps outside the venue (in front of a large statue of horses pulling a cart). We then organised some smaller group shots across from the hotel in a small area next to Frensham Pond. The pond proved to be a beautiful backdrop for these pictures (and the ducks serenaded us in the background too!).
As mentioned earlier, we did have a short rain shower, after which we returned outside to do some newlywed portraits. The sunshine gave the most beautiful glow once the rain clouds cleared. PERFECT!
Mr & Mrs Sole followed on from their wedding breakfast with a raffle. Each table centre piece was raffled off for charity, which was a lovely gesture. The evening party commenced with the first dance followed by the cake-cutting.
It was such a lovely day with a fabulous couple, awesome guests and some absolutely amazing decor, a lot of which had been made by the couple (and their families) in the months leading up to the big day. It was such a unique wedding to document. Not only was the ring delivered in a tool box and encased in a spanner(!) but there was an amazing archway through which guests could enter the reception area. The magician was also a fantastic addition, as were the chequered flags as the couple walked down the aisle!
