On Friday 21st July 2017, I arrived bright and early at Hilton St. Anne's Manor in Bracknell to photograph the most bright and colourful wedding I had all year! There was an amazing Caribbean theme. Tropical fruit and brightly coloured flowers adorned all spaces in use by the wedding party. Scented candles filled the rooms and the whole place smelled and looked amazing!
I started by photographing the bridal prep before receiving an SMS advising the groom had arrived with his groomsmen. I briefly popped downstairs to capture the guys turning up in their sand-coloured suits and sunglasses and then popped back upstairs to finish bridal prep.
When my lovely bride was ready, we took a few portraits and headed outside for the ceremony. St. Anne's Manor has a beautiful outdoor area for a wedding - there's a lot of space for me to move around throughout the ceremony without causing any distractions and to ensure I can cover many angles throughout the ceremony.
The couple had readings from friends as well as their children, which was so lovely and quite emotional! The microphone wasn't sure if it wanted to play ball, mind, so there were also some giggles from this! After the ceremony, a steel band played whilst guests mingled, congratulated the Taplins and group photographs were then taken. Lawn games had been laid out for the children to play in the gardens.
Speeches, as mentioned before, are one of my favourite parts of the day. Emotions were running high as family and friends spoke to congratulate the couple. The cake was also cut and the food was served - a wonderfully tasty BBQ buffet (my favourite!).
After the meal we took a couple more group photographs and newlywed portraits before I set up for the evening party and the first dance. Guests entered via a limbo stick at the reception entrance and then everyone danced the night away! What an absolutely fantastic wedding!
Thank you Mr & Mrs Taplin for having me! All the best for the future with your wonderful children!
